Folsom Lake College women's soccer has not allowed a goal all season and will carry a perfect 9-0 record into Big 8 Conference play Friday, Oct. 2.

The Falcons outscored opponents 31-0 in eight games on the field, according to the FLC athletics department. A ninth win, a scheduled road game at Cabrillo on Thursday, Sept. 10, was ruled a forfeit and counted as a 3-0 result.

Freshman Jada Ardoin has been the catalyst. She leads the team with eight goals, three of them game-winners, and scored six times in her last three games. That stretch included a hat trick in a 5-0 home win over Sacramento City on Tuesday, Sept. 22, when the Falcons outshot the Panthers 14-5. Goalkeeper Hailey Yates made five saves to preserve the shutout.

Lucy Miller leads the squad in points with 18 on seven goals and four assists. In a 4-0 road win at Las Positas on Friday, Sept. 18, Miller scored in the third and 13th minutes. Ardoin added goals in the 26th and 76th, both assisted by Angelina Conant, who has three assists on the season.

The defense has been just as dominant. Goalkeepers LJ Rogers, Lola Ballard and Yates have rotated in net all season and held every opponent scoreless. At Bakersfield on Saturday, Sept. 12, Ardoin's unassisted 35th-minute goal was all the Falcons needed in a 1-0 win. FLC outshot the Renegades 5-1.

Folsom Lake opened the season with back-to-back 3-0 shutouts over West Valley and College of the Sequoias, then beat Truckee Meadows 2-0 and Fresno City 1-0 at home to reach 5-0. Against Fresno City on Friday, Sept. 4, Rogers made nine saves despite the Falcons being outshot 14-8.

The biggest blowout came against Woodland Community College on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The Falcons won 12-0, scoring 11 goals in the first half. Miller recorded a hat trick, netting three goals in a 14-second span.

The program reached the 3C2A State Final Four last season before falling to Cerritos in the semifinals.

Folsom Lake opens Big 8 play at home against Sierra at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, then travels to Modesto at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, and returns home against Santa Rosa on Friday, Oct. 9.
