Folsom's Parks and Recreation Commission will weigh whether to send a pickleball expansion plan for Lembi Community Park to the City Council when it meets Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 6:30 p.m.
The proposal calls for four new pickleball courts, a renovated basketball court and other park improvements. At a Sept. 17 community outreach meeting, the Folsom Parks & Recreation Department presented three improvement options, and every resident who voted backed Plan C, according to a city announcement posted Nov. 2.
Plan C keeps the existing basketball court and adds the pickleball facilities.
The project remains in its planning stages. No final plans have been approved.
The city's 2026-27 capital improvement budget includes $400,000 for the project, Folsom Times reported Oct. 30, though that funding does not represent approval of a final construction plan.
If the commission recommends moving forward Tuesday, the project would next go to the Folsom City Council. The meeting is scheduled to stream on the city's meeting video page.
