Folsom History Museum will host three Halloween nights at its outdoor square in Historic Folsom, offering crafts, candy and a chance to forge a metal skull.
The organization's Moonlit Making events run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, Saturday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 30, at The Square, 196 Wool St., according to the Folsom History website.
General admission costs $5 per person. That ticket covers access to the decorated space, Halloween-themed crafts, candy, drinks and other seasonal activities, according to a Village Life report by Traci Rockefeller Cusack.
Visitors who want a hands-on experience can add a blacksmithing session for $15. Participants work alongside a blacksmith to learn the craft and forge their own metal skull to take home. The Square, formerly known as Pioneer Village, houses the Folsom Forge, where the museum offers blacksmithing classes.
Small service fees apply to both ticket types.
The Moonlit Making nights are not the only Halloween action in Historic Folsom that weekend. The Folsom Historic District is hosting Festifall on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. along Sutter Street. Participating merchants will hand out treats to costumed kids, and a kids costume contest takes the stage at the Zittel Family Amphitheater at 4 p.m. Cynthia's Dance Center is presenting the contest.
The two events do not overlap on Oct. 24. Festifall ends at 5 p.m., and Moonlit Making starts at 6 p.m.
