Ben Glickman, an attorney and El Dorado Hills resident, is running for the El Dorado Hills Community Services District Board of Directors in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. Three seats are open in the nonpartisan race. The other candidates are Josh Ziese, Steve Ferry, Steven Gutierrez and Wayne A. Lowery.
Asked why he is running, Glickman said in our candidate questionnaire: "Our town has added 25,000 residents in the past 20 years, while our facilities and services have not kept ip. Long-promised projects like a multi-generational community center and second aquatics facility remain unbuilt." He added: "I am running to bring clearer priorities, financial accountability, and consistent follow-through to the CSD."

He added: "I have served on the El Dorado Hills 'Taz' Swim Team Board since 2019 and as its president since 2021. I previously served as vice president and president of the Jackson Elementary PTO from 2020 through 2023."
As PTO president, Glickman said he led efforts to build what he describes as El Dorado County's first fully accessible school playground, according to his campaign website. He also said he created Swimclusion®, described as the region's only adaptive swim team for kids with disabilities.

On the issues
LLAD funding reform: Asked about accomplishments, Glickman said in our questionnaire: "As Vice Chair of the CSD's LLAD Citizens Advisory Committee, I listened to homeowners, studied the CSD's finances, and proposed greater General Fund support for neighborhoods maintaining public parks. The Board adopted that recommendation, reducing homeowner assessments by more than $2.3 million over three years."
Parks and master planning: Glickman said on his campaign website that El Dorado Hills has had three master plans in 20 years without turning plans into projects. He said he wants the 2027 master plan to include ranked priorities, realistic costs, identified funding and public tracking of delivery.
Board transparency: Glickman said he supports pursuing the Special District Leadership Foundation's District of Distinction accreditation as a way to rebuild trust between the district and residents, according to his campaign website.
Developer accountability and recreation: Glickman said growth should pay for the parks that growth demands. He also said he supports expanding year-round recreational opportunities for adults and active seniors, according to his campaign website.
