Folsom ranks 17th among best cities for families

Good news for Folsom residents as the city was ranked #17 in the list of best cities for families that was put together by Apartment List.  Folsom was the second highest ranked city in California, behind only Thousand Oaks at #13.  Four cities in Texas made the top 10.

Apartment List used the following criteria for their study

• Safety (35%)

• Housing Affordability (30%)

• Education Quality (25%)

• Child Friendliness (10%)

This is how Folsom scored in the study:

• Affordability: 93.2
• Education: 84.8
• Child friendliness: 68.8
• Overall score:  88.31
