The Folsom Police Department arrested a suspect in connection with a shoplifting incident that led to an assault on man that witnessed the incident.
According to police, the incident took place yesterday at the Safeway located on Prairie City Road. A witness observed a woman shoplifting in the store, then followed her outside to take a picture of the getaway car and license plate. A suspect in the car then got out and assaulted the man, taking his wallet.
Folsom detectives were able to track down the suspect today and arrested 19 year old Yamni Plagensclarin, of Rescue. Plagensclarin located in Placerville, and arrested for the robbery. He was booked into the Sacramento Jail.

One can’t be certain what other kinds of criminal activity that suspect might dabble in, and you never know how a suspect might react to the thought of being identified or caught by law enforcement.
