The Folsom Bulldogs traveled to Concord to take on high school football powerhouse De La Salle on Friday night. De La Salle shut out the high octane Folsom offense, winning the game 14-0.
The game was scoreless at half time, but Folsom missed an opportunity to score a touchdown when Daniyel Ngata was on his way for a score, and fumbled with De La Salle recovering in the end zone. De La Salle scored their first touchdown on an 18 yard pass from Dorian Hale to Isaiah Foskey. Their second TD came on a one yard run by Hale.
Folsom had five turnovers, including four in the first half. The Bulldogs suffered their first shutout since 2004. De La Salle extended their winning streak vs California teams to 291 games. Up next for Folsom is #2 ranked Jesuit at Folsom on Friday night.
